Sister taxa: Monomuchites costalis, Monomuchites obliquum
Type specimen: USNM 158674. Its type locality is USGS 6034-CO, Sulphur Well(s), New Watts Mill Rd., Little Hickman A section, which is in a Rocklandian shallow subtidal grainstone in the Tyrone Limestone Formation of Kentucky.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
