Sister taxa: Dimeropyge clintonensis, Dimeropyge speyeri, Dimeropyge tumidus, Dimeropyge virginiensis

Type specimen: Its type locality is Loc. 1. Tumbling Run, 2 miles southwest of Strasburg, which is in a Blackriveran carbonate limestone in the Lincolnshire Limestone Formation of Virginia.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder

Distribution: found only at Loc. 1. Tumbling Run, 2 miles southwest of Strasburg
