Sister taxa: Holia anacantha, Holia cimelia, Holia glabra, Holia magnaspina

Type specimen: USNM 116549. Its type locality is Loc. 1. Tumbling Run, 2 miles southwest of Strasburg, which is in a Blackriveran carbonate limestone in the Lincolnshire Limestone Formation of Virginia.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at Loc. 1. Tumbling Run, 2 miles southwest of Strasburg
