Type specimen: Holotype BMNH 40421. Its type locality is Echinoderms, Oberer Hauptrogenstein, Late Bajocian, Schinznach, Aargau, which is in a Bajocian open shallow subtidal grainstone/marl in Switzerland.

Distribution: found only at Asteroidea, Middle Bathonian, Windrush Quarry, Gloucestershire
