Type specimen: GIN 3593/82, a shell. Its type locality is 113/III-3. Right bank of Yenisei River, 7 km below Plakhino Island, which is in an Atdabanian carbonate limestone in the Sukhairkan Formation of the Russian Federation.
Ecology: slow-moving low-level epifaunal detritivore
Distribution: there are no occurrences of Ginella savitzkii in the database
