Type specimen: NMMP-KU 0001a, a maxilla (right maxillary fragments preserving P4-M3). Its type locality is Yarshe, Pondaung Sandstone, which is in a Bartonian terrestrial sandstone/mudstone in the Pondaung Formation of Myanmar.
