Type specimens:

  • Indotherium pranhitai: GSI Type No. SR/PAL/11 (= VPL/JU/KM/11), a tooth (left lower molar). Its type locality is Paikasigudem village, which is in a Toarcian/Aalenian terrestrial siltstone/sandstone in the Kota Formation of India.
  • Indozostrodon simpsoni: GSI Type No. 20795, a tooth (right upper molar). Its type locality is 5 km west of Yamanapalli, which is in a Sinemurian/Pliensbachian fluvial-lacustrine mudstone/limestone in the Kota Formation of India.
