Type specimen: CM 62590, a skull (complete skull without mandibles). Its type locality is Davis Ranch, which is in a Bridgerian fluvial-lacustrine mudstone in the Wind River Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Davis Ranch
