Type specimen: UCMP 154081, a valve (tail plat). Its type locality is UCMP D-5252, Lookout Hill, Southern Arrow Canyon Range, which is in an Artinskian shallow subtidal limestone in the Bird Spring Formation of Nevada.

Ecology: facultatively mobile epifaunal grazer

Distribution: found only at UCMP D-5252, Lookout Hill, Southern Arrow Canyon Range
