Type specimen: OSU-30363, a valve (head plate). Its type locality is Jmi-2. Small abandoned drift mine on N side of Buffler Run, which is in a Desmoinesian shallow subtidal limestone/shale in the Vanport Formation of Ohio.

Ecology: facultatively mobile epifaunal grazer

Distribution:

• Desmoinesian of United States (1: Ohio collection)

• Carboniferous of United States (1: Texas)

Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
