Type specimen: CNHM (FMNH) UR 986, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is BC-8 (Chickasha Formation), which is in a Roadian/Wordian deltaic shale/shale in the Chickasha Formation of Oklahoma.

Distribution: found only at BC-8 (Chickasha Formation)
