Sister taxa: Notostrophia alta, Notostrophia homeri, Notostrophia zealandicus
Type specimen: UQF 73923. Its type locality is UQ L4820, Buffel Hill, Cracow Station, which is in a Kungurian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Buffel Formation of Australia.
