Type specimen: USNM 115197. Its type locality is USGS 9802, S of Highway 67, Coleman, which is in an Artinskian shallow subtidal lime mudstone/shale in the Admiral Formation of Texas.
Ecology: slow-moving low-level epifaunal detritivore
