Type specimen: USNM 330888, a valve (Intermediate valve). Its type locality is USNM709d, Hess Ranch, Glass Mountains, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in the Hess Formation of Texas.
Ecology: facultatively mobile epifaunal grazer
Distribution: found only at USNM709d, Hess Ranch, Glass Mountains
