Type specimen: USNM 330865, a valve (Intermediate valve). Its type locality is USNM726d, Hess Canyon, Glass Mountains, which is in a Roadian slope limestone in the Road Canyon Formation of Texas.

Ecology: facultatively mobile epifaunal grazer

Distribution: found only at USNM726d, Hess Canyon, Glass Mountains
