Type specimen: GSQ F12493, a valve (Ventral valve external mold). Its type locality is Eddystone 1 well, interval E, 701.7-701.8 m depth (GSQ L2117), which is in a Wuchiapingian offshore mudstone in the Ingelara Formation of Australia.
