Type specimen: MGB 37911, a partial skeleton (partial skull and partial carapace). Its type locality is Chapada do Araripe [Romualdo Fm.] (general), which is in an Aptian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal shale in the Romualdo Formation of Brazil.

Ecology: amphibious omnivore

Distribution: found only at Chapada do Araripe [Romualdo Fm.] (general)
