Type specimens:

  • Chedighaii barberi: FMNH P26055, a shell (nearly complete shell). Its type locality is Gully on Presley Farm, near Delight, which is in a Campanian carbonate marl in the Brownstone Marl Formation of Arkansas.
  • Podocnemis alabamae: FMNH P27370, a shell (a nearly complete shell with pelvis). Its type locality is G. S. Moore Farm, which is in a Santonian carbonate limestone in Alabama.

• Cretaceous of United States (8: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, New Jersey, North Carolina collections)
