Sister taxa: Notoemys laticentralis, Notoemys oxfordiensis, Notoemys tlaxiacoensis

Type specimen: IPN 15-EAC 140120031, a partial shell (A carapace and posterior part of plastron). Its type locality is El Caucho farm, which is in a Valanginian marginal marine limestone in the Rosablanca Formation of Colombia.

Ecology:

Distribution: found only at El Caucho farm
