Type specimen: GSATC 221, a skull. Its type locality is Selmasaurus russelli type locality, which is in a Santonian/Campanian marine horizon in the Mooreville Chalk Formation of Alabama.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Selmasaurus russelli type locality
