Sister taxa: Jereina cylindrica, Jereina robusta
Type specimen: USNM 127617. Its type locality is USNM707e, Sullivan Peak, Glass Mountains, which is in a Roadian slope limestone in the Road Canyon Formation of Texas.
Ecology: stationary epifaunal suspension feeder
