Type specimens:
- Pseudostrophalosia brittoni: UQ F15657, a valve (Ventral valve, internal mold). Its type locality is 4 miles SW of Eungella Station, which is in an Artinskian marine siliciclastic in the Tiverton Formation of Australia.
- Wyndhamia enorme: UQF 16258, a valve (ventral valve). Its type locality is Homevale Station (UQ collection), which is in an Artinskian marine sandstone in the Tiverton Formation of Australia.
