Type specimen: MNG 8852, a partial skeleton (few skull fragments and almost complete postcranial skeleton). Its type locality is Bromacker Quarry (upper level of Tambach sandstone), which is in an Asselian fluvial-lacustrine sandstone in the Tambach Formation of Germany.

Ecology: planktonic suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at Bromacker Quarry (upper level of Tambach sandstone)
