Type specimen: IVPP V13756, a skull (Incomplete skull). Its type locality is Fanzhangzi, Lingyuan, which is in a Barremian/Aptian lacustrine horizon in the Yixian Formation of China.
Ecology: volant piscivore
Distribution: found only at Fanzhangzi, Lingyuan
