Type specimen: AMNH 200, a partial skeleton (incomplete skeleton). Its type locality is Hoyo del Palmar; 10 km NE Viñales, which is in an Oxfordian carbonate horizon in the Jagua Formation of Cuba.
Ecology: volant piscivore
Distribution: found only at Hoyo del Palmar; 10 km NE Viñales
