Type specimen: AMNH 43336, a valve (Right valve). Its type locality is AMNH B7977, which is in a Spathian shallow subtidal limestone in the Moenkopi Formation of Nevada.
Ecology: stationary epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution:
• Triassic of United States (3: Nevada, Utah collections)
Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
