Type specimen: Xe 13381. Its type locality is Maktesh Qatan-2 Well, Negev Desert, which is in a Changhsingian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone/shale in the Arqov Formation of Israel.

Ecology: epifaunal detritivore-grazer
