Sister taxa: Trigerastraea ampakabensis, Trigerastraea collignoni, Trigerastraea gourdani, Trigerastraea haldonensis, Trigerastraea nuda, Trigerastraea serialis
Type specimen: NMB-D6457, 6458 and MNHN-F-B47529 (Syntypes). Its type locality is Maliri, Sind, Pakistan, which is in a Bartonian reef, buildup or bioherm horizon in Pakistan.
Ecology: stationary intermediate-level epifaunal photosymbiotic-suspension feeder
