Sister taxon: Hukoutherium shimemensis

Type specimen: IVPP V4233, a mandible (broken dentaries with incisors, canines, p1-4, and m2-3). Its type locality is Linnania type, Nanxiong, which is in a Paleocene terrestrial mudstone in the Shanghu Formation of China.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution:

• Paleocene of China (2 collections)

Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
