Belongs to Hukoutherium according to X. Zhou et al. 1995
Sister taxon: Hukoutherium ambigum
Type specimen: IVPP V6260, a skull (Crushed and broken skull with lower jaws). Its type locality is Shimen Commune (lower bed), which is in a Paleocene terrestrial mudstone in the Fangou Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Shimen Commune (lower bed)
