Type specimen: KUVP 12484, a partial skeleton (nearly complete and articulated; skull poorly preserved and distal portion of tail missing). Its type locality is Hamilton Quarry, which is in a Virgilian estuary/bay shale in the Calhoun Shale Formation of Kansas.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Hamilton Quarry
