Type specimen: Mus N. Ariz G2.1300, a valve (Left valve). Its type locality is Bottomless Pits, Bed 9, Kaibab Formation, Walnut Canyon, which is in a Roadian shallow subtidal limestone in the Kaibab Formation of Arizona.
