Type specimen: USNM 90124, a carapace. Its type locality is 6 miles S by SW of Topeka, which is in a Gzhelian carbonate limestone in the Wakarusa Formation of Kansas.

Ecology: epifaunal detritivore-grazer

Distribution:

• Permian of China (21 collections), Guatemala (2)

• Carboniferous of United States (1: Kansas)

Total: 24 collections each including a single occurrence
