Sister taxa: none

Type specimen: KNM-MA1, a partial skeleton (head, neck, most of the forelimbs and perhaps the most distal portion of the tail are missing). Its type locality is Mariakani, which is in an Induan/Olenekian coastal sandstone in the Maji-Ya-Chumvi Formation of Kenya.

Distribution: found only at Mariakani
