Sister taxon: Ponteixites gracilis
Type specimen: Nat. Mus. of Canada 8738, a shell. Its type locality is Notukeu Creek [Bearpaw Fm], which is in a Campanian marine claystone/shale in the Bearpaw Formation of Canada.
Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore
Distribution:
• Cretaceous of Canada (9: Saskatchewan collections)
Total: 9 collections each including a single occurrence
