Type specimen: USNM 523956, a partial shell (tail plate). Its type locality is USGS 6034-CO, Sulphur Well(s), New Watts Mill Rd., Little Hickman A section, which is in a Rocklandian shallow subtidal grainstone in the Tyrone Limestone Formation of Kentucky.
Ecology: facultatively mobile epifaunal grazer
Distribution: found only at USGS 6034-CO, Sulphur Well(s), New Watts Mill Rd., Little Hickman A section
