Type specimen: YPM 23052, a shell. Its type locality is Locality 305, south of Eagle Butte, which is in a Maastrichtian marine siliciclastic in the Fox Hills Formation of South Dakota.
Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore
Distribution:
• Cretaceous of United States (10: South Dakota collections)
Total: 10 collections each including a single occurrence
