Type specimens:
- Gyrodendron boltonae: Its type locality is Catadupa, "Catadupa Beds", which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian shallow subtidal limestone in the "Catadupa Beds" Formation of Jamaica
- Gyrodendron leptonema: Its type locality is Pobla de Segur, Tremp Area, Corals of Puimanyons Olistostrome, Cataluna, which is in a Campanian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Vallcarga Formation of Spain.
Distribution:
• Cretaceous of Jamaica (6 collections), Spain (1)
Total: 7 collections each including a single occurrence
