Sister taxa: Mammites afer, Mammites mohavanensis, Mammites mutabilis, Mammites nodosoides, Mammites rancheriae
Type specimen: OUM KT205, a shell. Its type locality is Calvert Canyon, which is in a Turonian offshore shale in the Ojinaga Formation of Texas.
Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore
Distribution:
• Cretaceous of Colombia (2 collections), United States (2: Texas)
Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
