Type specimens:

  • Peltichia ruzhencevi: PIN 2072/66, a shell (Articulated shell). Its type locality is Chanakhchi, Oldhamina Beds, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Julfa Formation of Armenia.
  • Peltichia nachodkensis: TsNIGR 5/12540. Its type locality is "Nakhodka Reef", lower quarry, which is in a Wuchiapingian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Lyudyanza Formation of the Russian Federation.
