Type specimen: USNM 59576, a partial shell. Its type locality is Watertown, Chaumont Lmst., which is in a Turinian shallow subtidal wackestone/lime mudstone in the Chaumont Formation of New York.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Watertown, Chaumont Lmst.
