Type specimen: USNM 245150, a valve (Left valve, internal mold). Its type locality is CHS 1J-2, Buck Mountain Section, which is in an Artinskian marine horizon in the Riepetown Formation of Nevada.

Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal deposit feeder

Distribution: found only at CHS 1J-2, Buck Mountain Section
