Type specimen: LH PV18, a skeleton (partially articulated skeleton with most of the skull and postcranial skeleton lacking portions of the forelimb and the distal one-half of the tail). Its type locality is Raptorex type locality, which is in a Barremian/Maastrichtian fluvial sandstone in China.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Raptorex type locality
