Type specimen: Its type locality is Koyamada, Soma area, which is in an Oxfordian/Kimmeridgian shallow subtidal grainstone/lime mudstone in the Nakanosawa Formation of Japan
Ecology: stationary intermediate-level epifaunal photosymbiotic-suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Koyamada, Soma area
