Type specimen: Mt. Holyoke Cabinet 53, 91, 242 (destroyed), a footprint. Its type locality is Wethersfield tracksite, which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian fluvial-lacustrine shale/sandstone in the Portland Formation of Connecticut.
