Type specimen: CAMSM specimen (cast in BMNH R1473), a partial skull (imperfect adult skull). Its type locality is Stone Ridge, near the Harwich harbour, which is in a Ypresian marine siliciclastic in the London Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.

Distribution: found only at Stone Ridge, near the Harwich harbour
