Type specimen: USNM 497151, a shell. Its type locality is TU 376 - Natural Well [Duplin Fm], which is in a Pliocene coastal sandstone in the Duplin Formation of North Carolina.
Ecology: slow-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore
Distribution:
• Pliocene to Pleistocene of United States (1: Florida collection)
• Pliocene of United States (7: Florida, North Carolina)
Total: 8 collections each including a single occurrence
