Sister taxa: none

Type specimen: IVPP V14010, a partial skeleton (nearly complete skull and mandible and the anterior part of the postcranial skeleton). Its type locality is Junggarsuchus type locality, which is in a Callovian terrestrial horizon in the Shishugou Formation of China.

Ecology: carnivore

Distribution: found only at Junggarsuchus type locality
