Sister taxon: Brochuchus parvidens
Type specimen: NHMUK PV R7729, a skull (Almost complete skull without lower jaw). Its type locality is Shackleton Gully, which is in a Burdigalian fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Hiwegi Formation of Kenya.
Distribution:
• Miocene of Kenya (2 collections), Saudi Arabia (2)
Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
