Type specimen: USNM 298652, a shell. Its type locality is TU 555 - Fourmile Creek [Chipola Fm], which is in a Burdigalian marine marl/sandstone in the Chipola Formation of Florida.

Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder

Distribution:

• Miocene of United States (8: Florida collections)

Total: 8 collections each including a single occurrence
